Skills and Experience of our Support Staff

  • Staff possess a broad range of skills and experiences. Many have formal qualifications in Community Services.

  • Staff are carefully interviewed and matched with the requirements of the people they are required to support.

  • Staff are able to support people in a wide range of setting including: their own home, respite, accommodation and the community.

  • Staff receive a comprehensive induction which includes values based training focused on what makes a Good Support Worker and how to put this into practice.

  • Staff are have experience in assisting people who require support with personal care, activities of daily living, medication, the record keeping requirements of service-providers, safe-lifting techniques and use of hoists and other mobility aids, supporting people with complex behaviours, high medical support needs such as gastrostomy management, amongst others.

  • Staffing Options Employees must have the following minimum requirements:

    • A current Senior First Aid Certificate + CPR Certificate;

    • A current Blue Card for anyone engaged to work with children;

    • A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or a Yellow Card during the transition to the national NDIS Worker Screening system);

    • Current National Police Check (mandatory for Aged Care) and or a Statutory Declaration if applicable;

    • Covid-19 infection control training certificate;

    • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations

    • Quality, Safety and You, NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate;

    • Safe Work Practices certificate;

    • Medication Assistance certificate.
